Sesame Crusted Chicken
What You’ll Need
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 (4-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, pounded to 1/2-inch thickness
2 tablespoons canola oil
What to Do
In a shallow dish, whisk egg and water until well combined. In another shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, sesame seeds, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Dip chicken into egg mixture, then the bread crumb mixture, coating evenly with each.
In a large skillet, over medium heat, heat oil until hot. Sauté chicken 4 to 5 minutes per side or until no pink remains.
