Last night, Rabbi Ronald D. Price, the Executive Vice President of the UTJ, married Ms. Tzippy Twersky at Cong. Shaarei Tzion in Brooklyn, NY. The wedding was a wonderful and lebedik affair. The chatan and kallah were beaming and glowing with the delight of their wedding celebration. Surrounded by their families and friends and a fair representation of the entire world’s collection of rabbis, the couple celebrated the start of their life together in high style!
Ram Caterers does an amazing job. The food was tasty, plentiful, and beautifully presented. The smorgasbord featured just about every possible food you could think of. Except for sweetbreads. Where were the sweetbreads? No matter, because frankly every other kind of food you could have dreamed of was available. Our fave was the veal pastrami. More than one baal teshuva told us that it had a taste reminiscent of a food they certainly can no longer eat!! All we can say is, wow, the veal pastrami was amazing. Our other fave was the steak negimaki – a well marinated piece of steak wrapped, pin wheel style, around two pieces of scallion – taam gan eden! And the rest of the smorg was no less amazing. As we said, you name it – they served it!
Dinner was quite delish. The soup was a very tasty vegetable consomme. The bowl was enrobed in a flaky Phyllo type dough. That was a neat trick!
The main course was a medallion of beef together with a chicken cutlet spiced with a subtle hint of rosemary. Even the veggies were tres chichi!
Dessert was a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries and dainty cookies for the table, plus individual desserts for each person. The “death by chocolate” dessert came on a smartly painted plate that created a dessert that was a delight to look at, and an even bigger delight to eat!
By the time birkat hamazon came around, we were all tired, but sad to see the evening come to an end. It was a storybook wedding for two incredible people. We all pray that Tzippy and Rabbi Ronald Price be blessed with 120 years of happiness. To the chatan and kallah we say: “Tizku l’erech yamim tovim, v’shanim rabot, tovot, v’ne’imot.” Mazal tov!
