This is a tiny restaurant located in the shuk on HaEgoz street. They have two tables, and chairs at a counter inside. If you have to wait for a place to sit, by all means wait! This is a Five Fork Kosher Nexus winner. They serve what they call Latin Street food. We, frankly, would not know Latin street food from regular Mexican fare, for example, but the sandwiches (hence street food) are to die for. Talk about amazing, delicious, and well worth the trip!
Prices are fantastic! We were two people. We each had a beverage (one beer and one Coke Zero), and we each had a different “sandwich.” The bill came to NIS 77 (on the day we went, that worked out to $20.26)
The food is amazingly fresh as they have the whole shuk for shopping. The food is carefully prepared, and served quickly.
We had the LA BOMBA: Italian salami, Romanian pastrami, egg, cabbage, carrot, tomato, onion, lettuce, potato chips, Guacamole, garlic, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and mustard- all served in a heated tortilla.
Our dining companion had the CHORIPAN CON TODO: Chorizo, cabbage, carrot, onion, potato chips, garlic, mayo, mustard, ketchup, guacamole, and salsa verde.
Portions are hefty and quite filling.
Another great dish is the EL CUBANITO Beef shoulder pastrami, goose pastrami, pickles, mustard, garlic, and mayo
The LA SIRENA is tuna, lettuce, onion, mayo, and guacamole.
The LA COLORA has Italian salami, lettuce, mojito, tomato, guacamole, ketchup, corned beef, and mushrooms.
EL CARMELO has turkey, egg, carrot, cabbage, corn corn sauce.
LA BOMBA VEGETARIANA has eggs, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, carrot, guacamole, corn sauce, and salsa verde
WOULD WE GO BACK? ONLY OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!
