GuS, the line of less-sweet sodas, has introduced a new flavor: dry blackberry, made with the juice of only ripe blackberries without any additional filler juices and a light sweetness from cane sugar. With 95 calories per 12-ounce bottle, it has 35 percent less sugar than the average 150-calorie soda. “Blackberry has been a hot flavor for the last several years and our loyal consumers have been clamoring for a blackberry soda in our trademark less-sweet GuS style,” says co-founder Steve Hersh. “Based on the overwhelmingly positive reaction, we believe this will be our No. 1 or 2 seller.”
Dry blackberry joins the existing GuS flavors: dry cola, dry root beer, dry Meyer lemon, star ruby grapefruit, dry Valencia orange, dry cranberry lime, dry pomegranate, and extra dry ginger ale. All GuS sodas are gluten-free, caffeine-free, vegan, and kosher.
