We saw this recipe on a mail list to which we subscribe. It looked wonderful, so we tried it. Indeed, it was molto, molto bene! Give it a try, you will like it, too.
SWEET AND SOUR BRISKET

1 [6 – 8 pound] beef brisket
garlic powder
salt, pepper
3 medium onions, sliced
1 [12 ounce] jar apricot preserves
1 [14 ounce] bottle ketchup
~ Season brisket to taste with garlic, salt and pepper.
~ Place onions on bottom of pan; put in brisket.
~ Mix preserves and ketchup; pour over brisket.
Bake, uncovered, 4 hours at 350? until tender
