SAM’S BAGELS

Located on the upper part of the outdoor Ben Yehuda mall in Jerusalem (aka the Midrochov), Sam’s Bagels is a great spot to stop and refresh after, during or before shopping on the Midrochhov. Seating is outdoors under huge umbrellas. There is ample seating for all.

The food at Sam’s is dairy and is very fresh. The menu is printed on the wall. You pick your choice and tell the counter help what you want, and then you wait (not long, however) for them to yell your name. Beverages are blessedly chilled, too!

We were two people. One of us had a huge salad served with choice of bagel. The other had the pizza bagel. The pizza bagel was a bit of a surprise. It was not an open-face treat, but rather a sandwich. The bagel had cheese, sauce and veggies tucked into the two sides of the bagel.

The salad was very fresh indeed. The dressing was tahina. The pizza bagel was quite tasty.

Because you dine al fresco, you get to watch all the people who stream by on the Midrochov. We had a blast. Our Israeli friends tell us that Sam’s is THE place to go for a quick bite or even for some catering.

Certification is Rabbanut. The food is delish. The people watching is nothing short of amazing. What more can you want?
