MONSTER MINTS

The other day, we were sitting around at Netivot Shalom, the UTJ flagship shul, waiting for people to gather for mincha. It was about ten minutes early, and people were just starting to come in.

Suddenly, we noticed a very obvious odor of cinnamon on our side of the mechitza. Could someone be chewing cinnamon gum? Or some sort of really pungent mint candy?We asked the fellow in front of us, and he showed us a tin of MONSTER MINTS.

Not for the faint of heart, these are amazingly powerful candies. Made with real cinnamon oil, the candy leaves your tongue numb for the first few minutes after you pop one. As you quickly move the mint to between the teeth and not on the tongue, you realize that the taste is reallly good. A few minutes later, as your tongue regains sensation, you slide the little candy back onto it, and immediately remember why you moved it off the tongue in the first place!

Whoowee! Those little suckers pack one heckuva punch! And, yes, we loved it!
