Tonight (Weds), we leave for Israel for the best of reasons (not that we need one to go there): our first grandchild was born this past shabbat. Please God, the bris will take place on shabbat in Efrat.
As always, we will stay at the Dan P in Jerusalem, our Israel home away from home. For shabbat, we will be in Efrat, of course.
Long time Nexus readers know that we love the Dan P. It is a comfortable hotel where everybody knows your name, your likes, and your needs. We like the fact that the staff there knows us and treats us like family. We love the fact that every morning as we walk into the dining room, our coffee magically appears just the way we like it and our omelet is ordered. The Dan P is the kind of place where you really feel as if you belong.
The rooms are great, the service is great, too. The food there is totally delicious. And the fact is, we love being there. El Al may sing that they are the most at home (airline) in the world, but the Dan P makes that sentiment come true.
Stay tuned for our reports from Israel.
