Pepsi has announced a new design for its non carbonated beverages. The new packaging will allow the company to save 20 million pounds of waste. That is waste that would have ended up in a landfill somewhere.
The new bottles contain 20% less plastic than the present bottles. Also, the labels are 10% smaller, too. Finally, in multi packs, the amount of shrink wrap has been reduced by 5%. All in all, it adds up to some impressive numbers.
Look for the new bottles in your neighborhood soon.
We say: Hooray Pepsi. Way to go.
