“Tuna tartare is the new gefilte fish,” Moshe Schonfeld, an owner of Ossie’s Fish, told the New York Times. The Wall Street Journal greeted the move of Crown-Heights based Izzy’s as the new trend in kosher restaurants towards smokehouses.
