Taza Chocolate Covered Nuts (OU)

Taza Chocolate, known for organic stone ground chocolate, introduced a line of three Chocolate Covered Nuts in snacking-friendly resealable bags. While previously available in larger formats, Taza Chocolate’s new 4.2-ounce bags of Chocolate Covered Almonds, Chocolate Covered Cashews, and Chocolate Covered Hazelnuts now offer an on-the-go option for consumers looking for a healthier chocolate covered nut.

Like all Taza products, Chocolate Covered Nuts are USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Gluten Free, Soy Free, and Kosher. The products are also:

• Vegan Friendly: The majority of chocolate covered nuts on the market include a shiny glaze made from insect-derived shellac. Taza Chocolate’s Chocolate Covered Nuts are shellac free and completely Vegan.

• Direct Trade Certified: All of Taza Chocolate’s products, including Chocolate Covered Nuts, are Direct Trade Certified, meaning that the company has established direct relationships with cacao growers to ensure quality and adherence to fair labor practices. Direct Trade allows Taza’s partners to get paid well above the Fair Trade price for products, while also ensuring that Taza’s consumers get only the highest quality cacao.

• Stone Ground: Taza Chocolate stone grinds all of its chocolate, an unprocessed process that lets the natural, bold flavor of cacao shine through.

The Fresh Market is the first major partner to take on the new Chocolate Covered Nuts line. Launched this fall, the new product line will now be distributed in 160 stores across 22 states, marking a drastic increase in distribution.
