Kosher Cheese Burgers In America

Everyone seems to be talking about the Impossible Burger, a veggie burger that supposedly tastes like meat and even “bleeds” like meat.  So far the reviews we have seen have favored the positive, but there have been many that have been less than stellar reviews of this new product.  As we say in Hebrew, “in matters of taste and smell, there  is no arguing.”

We do not understand all the hoopla.

It is not a meat hamburger, no matter how much it tastes like one.  What you get is a kosher, ersatz burger with real cheese on it.  Here in Israel, at Crave restaurant, we can get a real meat burger with vegan cheese on it. Which is better?

You pays your money and takes your chances.

We have had the real cheeseburger here in Israel.  It is very good.  The only problem is that it only comes in a slider and the amount of cheese is negligible.   We also had the chili cheese fries.  Big mistake.  Too much sauce made the fries very soggy.

As we said, we do not get the hoopla.  We have seen too many reviews from people who have had the real thing, and they assure us the Impossible Burger does not fit the bill as they see it.  When we come to America next, we shall take a pass.
