What You’ll Need:
- 1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup brown rice, uncooked
- 3 cups cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1 (8-ounce) can no-salt added tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 (14-ounce) can low-sodium diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
What To Do:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, saute ground beef and onions 8 to 10 minutes, or until no longer pink. Drain excess liquid.
- Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 35 to 40 minutes, or until rice is tender.
