New Kosherfest Exhibitor Focuses on Purim with New Chocla-Taschen
By Raquel Mlabassati

Secaucus, NJ- While most of the exhibitors at Kosherfest will be focused on year-round and Passover products, one new exhibitor, Sossi Enterprises, will be throwing a spotlight on Purim (March 5, 2015), the holiday that celebrates the miracle of when Jews were saved from a royal decree in fourth century Persia. Sossi will be introducing Chocla-Taschen, a gourmet chocolate shaped like the triangular pastry that is eaten on the holiday, which bakeries say has emerged as a year-round food. Nina Rosenfeld, President/CEO of Sossi Enterprises, says “We are launching (at Kosherfest) Chocla-Taschen in Dark and Milk Chocolate filled with Caramel. I know some people dip their Hamantaschen in chocolate but I had never seen just chocolate Hamantaschen. That is when I started researching what was out in the market place. I couldn’t find anything like my idea so I decided to make them myself. I designed a mold and away we went.” Chocla-taschen is nut free, gluten free, soy free, and Non-GMO. It is also Rainforest Alliance and Star K Dairy Certified. Rosenfeld says that they will be giving a percentage of the proceeds to charity. She believes that Chocla-Taschen is a great product for Shuls and Day Schools to use as fundraisers. Says Rosenfeld: “We believe our product is great for retail, non-profits and even the foodservice Industry. We have several different packaging options and will be selling it in bulk too.”
