ANGELICA- CHEF RESTAURANT

This was our last time to eat in Angelica in its present location. They are moving soon to a new and much larger location.

Frankly, we love eating at Angelica. It is a very upscale dining experience at a very reasonable price. Three of us had appetizers, dinners, four cups of wine and two desserts. Total bill? 650 Israeli Shekels or about $175. At just a tad over $58 per person, you can’t go wrong. We sat for hours and savored our meal.

Our appetizers were a huge salad with fresh fruit in it, eggplant baladi and chicken liver pate with caramelized apricots.

My two companions each had the bone marrow infused, glazed hamburger. We had a hunk of steak served over green beans, mushrooms, caramelized onions and a horseradish mustard sauce.

Desserts were vanilla filled crepes and chocolate bombe.

The food, ambiance, decor and wait staff service there are totally excellent.

We should add that the menu at Angelica is a seasonal menu. It changes with each season.

We always enjoy ourselves there and look forward to many more dinners there.
