MYSTERY MEAT

One of the joys of flying Business Class on El Al is that you get some amazing meals during your flight. Over the many flights we have taken, one thing we know we can count on is mystery meat in the meat dish offered for dinner. The chicken looks and tastes like chicken. The fish smells like fish and tastes like fish. But the mystery meat??

We are always amazed at how they change the name of the dish on the menu based on whatever sauce it is served in. Our most recent flight featured Basar Parsi- Persian Beef. What made it Persian? No clue. It was dry and stringy. And it looked just like the meat we have had in countless other B Class dinners.

The rice served with the meat was nicely seasoned with Nana leaves. Nice touch! Is that what made the beef Persian?

Perhaps we will never know.

For now, let’s just stick with mystery meat!
