Recently, we saw five letters (count ’em-five!) which came from various meat and poultry distributors/suppliers who serve the Metro New York City area.
Each letter said the same thing:
AS OF AUGUST WHOLESALE PRICES ON MEAT AND POULTRY WILL RISE 15%.
Two chicken suppliers have gone out of business. Although no one expects a shortage of chicken, how much higher will prices go as pre yom tov demand creates even higher prices to cope with the added personnel each plant will need to fill the gap?
Our advice? BUY YOUR MEAT AND POULTRY NOW AND PUT IT IN THE FREEZER.
BEAT THE EVEN HIGHER PRICES SURE TO COME!
