We generally like Recanati wines. We find most of them very pleasing and delightful on the palette. We first “discovered” Recanati wine in Israel, and followed up on it here in the States.
In the RESERVES line, we like:
RESERVE SINGLE VINYARD MERLOT- aged 14 months in French oak barrels. This is an elegant and full bodied wine with a complex taste that is always great.
RESERVE SINGLE VINYARD CABERNET SAUVIGNON- Aged 17 months in small French oak barrels. A very full bodied blend of complex tastes. This one is one of our faves.
RESERVE PETITE SIRAH-ZINFANDEL-With a medium body, this is a lighter tasting wine.
RESERVE SYRAH- Aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels. If you are a syrah fan, you will like this one.
SPECIAL RESERVE- A cabernet/sauvignon blend aged for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels. A very complex taste that lingers on the tongue giving extreme pleasure to those who drink it. We love this even more than the other Cab/Sauvignon.
All are OUP and are highly recommended.
