TITO BRAVO

Finding good pizza in Israel (kosher of course) is no less difficult than it is in America. There is no shortage of kosher pizza shops in either place, but finding one that actually makes a pizza you would go back to again and again is hard work.

Well, in Jerusalem you can actually find really good pizza. TITO BRAVO makes very good pizza. In fact, we can say that this is the best pizza we have had in Israel. The pizza in Lev Efrat is great, but this is even better!

Located at 12 Shammai St, Tito is kosher l’mehadrin. The menu features much that is healthy, lots of salads and pastas. And, of course, the pizza.

We had a whole wheat (extra charge) pizza because the kids here only eat whole wheat. We were suspicious, but it was actually very good. The pizza itself was half mushrooms and half basil (whole leaf, btw). The sauce was sweet, the crust perfect, and the cheese appropriately gooey!

The pizza was not cheap, though. We paid 90NIS ($23) for a full size pie. That pretty much is about what we pay in NYC for a kosher pizza with toppings. This was worth the price. Three of us could not finish the pie.
