REDMOND REAL SALT

At one or another food show that we attended, we got a sample of Redmond Real Salt. This OU certified salt sat on the dining room table for quite some time. And then one evening we were enjoying the first winter soup of the season and realized that it needed salt. As we never add salt to our food, about the only salt usually around is a small amount for motzi.

So, what did we do? We opened the Redmond Real Salt. WOWZERS! When they say on the label that you have never tasted salt like theirs, they ain’t kidding around! What amazing salt!

This salt comes from deep, underground caves. There is no processing, no bleaching, and no additives. It is just salt as it comes out of the earth. Slightly brownish in color, the salt has a sweet taste to it. Compared to regular salt, this one has a “momma put the coins on my eyes for I have surely gone to heaven” kind of taste.

The salt contains fifty trace minerals, including Iodine. Yet, it is also Kosher for Passover!
