Starbucks plans to open at least 40,000 more stores over the medium term, half of them outside the U.S., according to Spanish financial newspaper, Expansion. Starbucks Chief Executive Jim Donald told the paper that the chain is expanding at a rate of six shops and 350 new employees per day, reported Reuters.

We are not a fan of Starbucks coffee. We think it costs way too much and, frankly, the one or three times when we could not avoid going there, we found the coffee to be “burned” tasting and clearly over cooked.
So what is the mystique? Why do people flock there? What aren’t we getting?
