Today’s story, boys and girls, is about a festival held in Byron, Illinois. Frankly, even were it kosher, this is one we would skip!

The festival will take place on October 14, 2006 and has been a regular feature of life in Byron since 1978. As we said above, even were it kosher and not on shabbat/yom tov, we would skip this one.

It’s the annual Turkey Tesitcle Festival. Yes, volunteer cooks hope to prepare 360 pounds of the delicacy(??) for this year’s festival. The testicles are dipped in a beer batter and then deep fried to a mouth watering golden brown! Admission is a mere five bucks. And for that magnificent amount, you get a serving of fried testicles, a full day of live entertainment, and a chance to win prizes in a raffle.
