And Now for Something Not-So-Completely Different

Kosher Korean food? That’s something new! My Most Favorite Lunch Companion and I checked out Cho-Sun, one of Teaneck’s newest eateries, to see what “Korean BBQ” is all about.

The lunch menu is quite limited – only six items: four “bento boxes” and two burgers. MMFLC tried the galbi box, and I had the bulgogi. What are these? Galbi is short ribs in Korean BBQ sauce, and bulgogi is the same thing only cut up – Korean shwarma? Yes, they were good, but was it different from any other barbecued meat? Not really.
Also in the bento box are rice, four California rolls, and a salad heavily drenched in French (not Korean) dressing.
For $10, we would have liked to have more meat, but overall the food was good. The dinner menu is only slightly more extensive, but much more expensive. At the moment they seem to be concentrating more on sushi, but I don’t know if that will change.

Cho-Sun is at 496 Cedar Lane in Teaneck; supervision (of course) by the RCBC.
