BACKSBERG PINOTAGE WINE

Last year, Kedem introduced kosher consumers to the first kosher Pinotage from South Africa’s Backsberg Winery. Backsberg had long been famous for its wine, but they had never tried a kosher product.

Pinotage is a wonderful wine. In many circles, it is the hot wine of the moment. The grape is a cross between a Pinot Noir and a Cinsault, yielding a complex wine with a ripe, fruity aroma. It also has a surprisingly spicy finish.

We have been impressed with the wine, and we have enjoyed it both with meat and chicken.
