AND TO THINK, WE USED TO SMOKE IT!

The U. S. Court of Appeals ruled unanimously against the DEA recently. DEA regulations that blocked the sale of hemp foods were declared illegal. Watch for a flood of hemp based foods in a health store near you. Why a health store? Because hemp based foods are loaded with Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. They also contain strong digestible protein, soluble fiber and unsoluble fiber as well as minerals and other vitamins.

There is just nowhere we can go with that story. So we will just stop right here. We do have one observation, however: Live long enough, and you see everything!!

In more food news:

ORANGE YOU GLAD I DIDN’T SAY BANANA??

Have you seen the orange colored banana? Called a Karat, the banana hails from Micronesia. This banana is unusually high in beta carotene, loaded with potassium, a whole host of B vitamins, calcium and magnesium.

FIZZY FRUITS

Fizzy Fruit is a naturally carbonated fruit. Howzdat ,you aks? Well, Ahmma gonna tell all y’all. Seems a good ol’ boy loaded some fruit in a cooler packed with dry ice. As the dry ice evaporated, the CO2 seeped into the fruit!

Now, many moths later, the process has been approved and is computer controlled. Fizzy Fruit should be on your grocer’s shelf any day now!!
As my kids would say: “Coooooooool.”
