After catching the Modigliani exhibit at New York’s Jewish Museum last week with Sharon V. (KN Blog commenter, who’s visiting from Israel), we stopped for lunch at the museum’s Cafe Weissman (named for the people who donated the space). It’s a great place to go for a nice, relatively inexpensive (nothing over $9.50) light lunch.
The food is provided by Foremost Caterers, certified by the Star-K, and served cafeteria-style. The menu is relatively limited but everything looked good. Our ginger-lacquered salmon salad was great, as was the frittata – and the dessert cookies are worth the $1.95 (and the calories). Other menu items include herb-encrusted roast beef sandwiches, chicken and veggie-burger sandwiches, and a good-looking “chicken caesar primavera” salad.
Oh yes, don’t miss the Modigliani exhibit – it’s great!
