We tried some new products this yom tov, and the results, by and large, were very positive.
We made chicken cutlets with Savion’s chicken coating (crumb) mix. The cutlets were moist, tender and delectable. With cranberry chutney served on the side, it was a perfect meal for after shul during the day.
We also tried Savion’s Chicken Sauces- the Apricot as well as the Cranberry flavors. Both were quite tasty. We slathered on the sauce and let the chicken sit for about one hour. We then cooked them in the oven, yielding some very tasty birds.
We tried a new shmura matza this year. Whoa! That was a total disaster! The Rokeach shmura matza we tasted was stale, hard, and terrible. Thank goodness we had a few pounds of our fave on standby. We have eaten Schatzer shmura matza for years, and still find it the best.
Gotta run- the potatoes in the oven are calling out: “come and get me, come and get me….. .”
Enjoy your yom tov. Chag kasher v’sameach!
