CHOCOLATE LEATHER

PRESS RELEASE

Chocolate Leather is a twist on the traditional dried fruit leather bar favorite, that’s 45% to 50% lower in sugar then traditional fruit leather bars and lower in fat and calories than most chocolates.

The new chocolate leather contains pure chocolate, cocoa nibs and brown rice crisps that have been transformed into a chewy chocolate snack, free of dairy and soy. The handy 0.5-ounce serving size chocolate leather snack has just 50 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.

According to Mordy Dicker of Kayco, “We’ve developed a proprietary manufacturing method to create our new chocolate leather, which is a great snack for both kids and adults. We are bringing to market a new offering in conscientious snacking, one that staves off hunger, tastes delicious and satisfies a craving. Our Chocolate leather snack satisfies a chocolate lovers craving without the high fat and caloric intake of traditional chocolate bars. Chocolate leather is a little like fruit leather, flat, chewy and flavorful – a great option for those on the go, and for back to school. We are also proud to use over 30% fair trade certified ingredients.”

The new chocolate leather is made with non-GMO ingredients, is non-soy, non-dairy and certified kosher. It is distributed exclusively by New Jersey based Kayco, and will be available at health food, specialty and kosher food markets this Oct, just in time for Back to School.

Chocolate Leather is packaged and shipped 36 per box, and retails for about $0.50 per 0.5-ounce snack. They are currently available at kosher retail markets throughout the tri-state area, Florida and California.
