Kabak Tatlisi (Candied Pumpkin)

1 kg (two pounds, three ounces)pumpkin, cleaned of strands, seeds. and outer shell

Cut pumpkin into bite size pieces

1 Anise star

6 Fennel seeds

6 Coriander seeds

500 grams (18 ounces) of sugar


Arrange pumpkin cubes in a pot and cover with sugar and spices. Refrigerate overnight. The next day, heat in a pan over low heat until the pumpkin softens.
