Gelato Petrini Named Best New Product in Kosherfest

NEW YORK — A Chocolate Peanut Butter gelato made with organic soy milk, Belgian chocolate and natural creamy peanut butter was crowned the Best New Product at the annual New Product Competition, which took place on October 18th. The gelato (also winners of the best Desserts, Baked Goods, and Sweet Snacks) was one of more than 120 new products entered in the competition that will also be showcased at next month’s Kosherfest (November 12 -13, Meadowlands Exposition Center, Secaucus NJ).

There was much about the gelato that caught the attention of the judges. Although it retained the rich taste of dairy and chocolate peanut butter, it is Lactose and gluten free. The makers of the winning product, Gelatto Petrini, based in Delray Beach FL, note that the new product will be available to both retail and foodservice markets.
