DID YOU MISS US?

Sorry! We were suddenly and unexpectedly unable to update for the last many days. We were a guest in Long Island Jewish Hospital (Apparently, Long Island Goyish is better known as St Francis).

We will not review the food there. Eating it was punishment enough!

We do have one question, however. Long Island Jewish is located in Nassau County, just over the county line from Queens, NY. The entire area has more Jews than any other place except for Israel. There are more kosher caterers in the area than there are anywhere else in the world outside of Israel. So how come the kosher food served at LIJ comes from a company in Allentown, PA?

It must be that the local food companies are all good, so they had to go to Allentown to get unbalanced, not very tasty meals from a company called Abe’s Place.

One meal was pasta, corn and zucchini. How’s that for balance? Another meal was meant to be turkey in gravy. They used processed turkey roll and not real turkey. The best, however, was the pureed fish, pureed potatoes and pureed string bean dinner. Taam Gan Yuck!

Sigh. It’s good to be back!
