HEINZ KETCHUP- TODAY, TOMORROW, AND INTO THE FUTURE

If you can’t compete with ’em, take them to court!

Osem, an Israeli company which makes the second worst “ketchup” in Israel, has successfully sued Heinz in court here in Israel. It seems that Heinz Ketchup does not meet the standards for ketchup as legally defined by the Government. They now will have to call themselves something other than ketchup.

As far as we are concerned, what Osem did stinks. We would rather eat a burger sans ketchup at all than use Osem brand “ketchup.”

We don’t care what label they use here in Israel- we remain loyal to Heinz Ketchup. As we said above, Osem clearly could not deal with the competition from Heinz. Boo to Osem. And, by the way, you will never see their “ketchup” in our house. Never!
