CIRIO PASSATA RUSTICA

The other day, we were shopping for canned crushed tomatoes. Suddenly, our eyes caught an OU on a jar of Cirio brand Passata Rustica. It is Italian style crushed tomatoes. And Kosher, too!

We bought a jar. We went back again and bought some more. The taste was great! We had planned on serving a chicken cacciatore (hunter’s chicken), and this was the perfect sauce base.

Cirio makes many other sauces, but the only one we looked at was the jar of crushed tomatoes. Next time we hit the store, we shall check out some more of their line. We hope the others are kosher, too.
