Turns out the whole kosher for Passover gasoline story was a fake. A put-on. Or, as my beloved zaydeh used to say, invent a better mousetrap and along will come a better class of mice.

For the record, I don’t believe that this story is real, especially considering the fact that there seems to be no such newspaper as the Bergen County Jewish Times, and that the shul and yeshiva mentioned in the article don’t exist either. Of course, none of this changes the fact that it’s damn funny, and I’d love to meet the sick, demented, twisted person who wrote this brilliant piece…

Don’t we feel stupid! We wasted all that outrage for nothing!
