TRADER JOE’S FUDGE BROWNIES bears a mislabeled Star-K. The product is Star-D certified, a non-cholov Yisroel certification of the National Council of Young Israel administered by the Star-K. Future packaging will be corrected.

EMPIRE CHICKEN RECALL

A New York firm is recalling about 5,760 pounds of chicken products because of possible listeria contamination, the Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said Monday. Recently we had a special treat at a friend’s house. We were treated to some imported pecorino cheese from Italy.
