NEEDS NO SPECIAL PASSOVER CERTIFICATION

March 19, 2004 at 5:57:42a.m.

We have compiled a list of foods that need no extra certification for Passover, based on several rabbis’ lists of same. We thought we would share parts of the list with you:

Air Freshener- any (That makes me so happy because now I can use my pasta scented air freshener on Pesach!)

Ammonia- any (Was there a question??)

Cocoa- any pure cocoa

Contact lens fluid- any (Again, there was a question?)

Disposable diapers- any (Whew, that is a relief.)

Fireplace logs- any unscented brand. (Good to know- I like to accompany my hol hamoed meals with the roar of a great big ol’ fire in the central fireplace, and it has been so hard to find KP logs.)

Hemp- check thoroughly for any possible mixed in grains. (Uh-uh- ain’t gonna touch that one!)

Ice- any as long as it is from plain, unflavored water (You know the old joke about ice cubes and Poland…. )

Toilet Tissue- any (How do YOU spell relief?)

Kosher Salt- any: need we say anything else?
